Athletic Field Status Update
9-15-25--At western park Fields 1, 4, and the soccer and football fields are open. All other park facilities are closed at this time. Due to facility improvements at Western Park - fields 2 & 3 are closed until further notice. At Swinson Park Field #1 is closed for facility improvements as well.

Youth Basketball
Youth Basketball registration opens September 22, 2025. Practice dates and times will be announced after registration is complete and teams have been made. Practices will be held on week nights. Games will be on week nights (12U & Up) and Saturdays. Any registrations/fees received after the deadline of Nov. 3rd will be assessed a late fee of $15. (Based on space availability only.) No refunds will be issued after November 17, 2025.

Fall Fitness Kickoff
Beginning Tuesday September 2
As the leaves start to turn and the air becomes crisp, it's the
perfect time to jumpstart your Fall Fitness Kickoff. Embrace the
invigorating energy of autumn by setting new fitness goals. Take
advantage of our local fitness class at Fort Benjamin Park to stay
motivated and meet like-minded individuals. The key to a
successful fitness routine is consistency, classes will offer a
balanced plan that includes a mix of cardio, strength training, and
flexibility exercises. With a little creativity and dedication, your Fall
Fitness Kickoff can set the tone for a healthier, more active lifestyle
as the year winds down.

Sylvan Heights Bird Park Trip
Are you over 40? Do you love adventures? Well we have just the trip for you! Join us Friday, September 26th for a self guided field trip and observe a huge collection of waterfowl, including rare and endangered species, from all around the world at Sylvan Heights Bird Park! Cost for this program is $20/person and this includes admission to the park and transportation. Lunch will be on your own at the Duck Landing Cafe on the park property. Yoga is for everybody and every body! This is yoga for all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, open to all adults. Continuous classes are held on Thursday mornings from 9:00am to 10:00am, in the exercise room at Fort Benjamin Recreation Center.
