Athletic Field Status Update
12/9/25 - Western Park fields 1 & 2 are CLOSED . Fort Benjamin baseball & softball fields are CLOSED. Swinson Park fields 1 & 4 are CLOSED. Freedom Park field 1 is CLOSED. Eastern Park is CLOSED. All other Carteret County Parks & Recreation fields & facilities are open.

Winter Workout Class
Ongoing Class Tuesday's at 9am
Cold air, warm moves! Join our Winter Workout at Fort Benjamin Park and set fresh goals with a friendly crew! With a little creativity and dedication, you can set the tone for a healthier, more active lifestyle through the dreary winter months ahead. This free class is offered every Tuesday at 9am.

10AM go to MacDaddy's for some bowling and pizza

After lunch visit the Aquarium, check out the trail and playground
Return to Fort Benjamin to finish the day
Pickup at 5PM

Yoga for All
Yoga is for everybody and every body! This is yoga for all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, open to all adults. Continuous classes are held on Thursday mornings from 9:00am to 10:00am, in the exercise room at Fort Benjamin Recreation Center.
