Summer Camp Registration

Carteret County Parks and Recreation Summer Camp is coming soon! Join us for a summer full of fun, adventures and life long memories! OUr camp is based out of Fort Benjamin Recreation Center, earliest drop off is 7:30am and latest pickup is 5:30pm. Field trips throughout the week, games, sports, arts and crafts and so much more! Our camp is for kids ages 7-11 costing $150/week, registration will be opening Wednesday April 6th. Carteret Cruisers Airlie Gardens Spring Trip

Hop on the bus for a first day of spring trip to Airlie Gardens in Wilmington. Take a leisurely stroll or hop on the trolley for a tour through the beautiful gardens.
Friday March 20
Leaving from Fort Benjamin Park at 8am, arriving at the gardens at approximately 10:30. We will spend a couple hours at the gardens and then have a late lunch before returning to Newport at approximately 4pm.
Registration fee is $20 which includes entry to the gardens and transportation to and from this location.

Kids Program Dates! Join the fun!

No school! What do we do? We got you covered!
Join us at Fort Benjamin Park March 16th to help occupy your child's time on this non school day!
Fun and interactive events at our building in the morning, field trips in the afternoon and an all around day of fun at the park!
Choose one or both days and get in on the fun!
Registration is $40 per child.
Please bring a lunch, we will have snacks in the afternoon.

Friday Night Lights

Adult Co-ed Beach Volleyball

Adult Coed Beach Volleyball, must be 18 or older to participate. Games will be played Monday and Wednesday nights at the Atlantic Beach circle. Each game will be played with 2 to 4 players on the court with a combination of men and women but can't be all men or women.

The competitive league match is won by the team that wins 3 out of 5 sets. Each set will be played to 21 points. Fifth set (if required) will be played to 15 points. Each set must be won by 2 points.

The recreation league matches are played best out of 3 sets. Each set is played to 25 points. Each set must be won by two points.

Yoga for All

Yoga is for everybody and every body! This is yoga for all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, open to all adults. Continuous classes are held on Thursday mornings from 9:00am to 10:00am, in the exercise room at Fort Benjamin Recreation Center.
