Summer Open Gym Series

Summer Camp Registration
Carteret County Parks and Recreation Summer Camp is coming soon! Join us for a summer full of fun, adventures and life long memories! Our camp is based out of Fort Benjamin Recreation Center, earliest drop off is 7:30am and latest pickup is 5:30pm. Field trips throughout the week, games, sports, arts and crafts and so much more! Our camp is for kids ages 7-11 costing $150/week, registration will be opening Monday April 6th. Fun Friday Field Trip
This program is for adults within our special needs community that are looking for some social interaction with others and interested in travel and exploring new areas of our county as well as surrounding counties.
June 12th we will travel to Kinston to visit Neuseway Park and Planetarium as well as the Mariners Museum. Registration fees are $20 per person. You are responsible for lunch.

Adventure Awaits... Down East Adventure Camp is a partial day camp focused on exploring Carteret County and beyond. Each week will feature field trips around the county, sports, nature education, STEM activities and most importantly FUN! Space is limited. Register today!

Golfin' Dolphin: Mini Golf & Go Kart
Join us for an exciting field trip to Golfin' Dolphin in Cape Carteret for a fun-filled day of mini gold and go-kart racing! Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, outdoor activities, and a great social experience with friends.
This trip will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. We will leave from the Fort Benjamin parking lot in front of the main building at 11:00 am, go kart first, head over to Western Park for lunch, then finish the day with some mini golf, and plan to return to Fort Benjamin between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Participants will bring their own lunch, although extra money for food and vendors at Golfin' Dolphin is also recommended. The cost for this trip is $30 per participant.
